Last updated: June 6, 2026
Newsnote stores your data on your own device, and optionally
in your own Google Drive if you enabled backup. You are in full
control and can delete it at any time as follows.
1. Delete data on your device
- Delete individual scraps: long-press a scrap to enter
selection mode and delete it, or open a scrap and tap the trash icon.
- Delete everything: uninstall the app, or go to
Android Settings → Apps → Newsnote → Storage → Clear data. This
permanently removes all locally stored scraps and images.
2. Delete your Google Drive backup
If you enabled Drive backup, delete the backup like this:
- Open Google Drive with the account
you used.
- Find the "Newsnote" folder and delete it (then empty
Trash to remove it permanently).
3. Revoke the app's access to your Google account
- In the app, open the side menu and tap Sign out; or
- Go to
myaccount.google.com/permissions,
select Newsnote, and choose Remove access.
4. Advertising data
Ads are served by Google AdMob. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in
Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (wording varies by device).
